Abstract

A pronounced magnetic (TF), anomaly zone, hitherto unreported. was located off Machilipatnam in the Bay of Bengal influencing an area of about 10,000 sq km, 2D-model studies suggest a hypothetical presence of a basic body (?) intruding the basement granites and gneisses.

Abstract

All fresh horticultural crops are living materials, possessing biological processes which are essential for the maintenance of life, which left uncontrolled, will lead to the deterioration of the produce. The shelf life of produce is limited by physiological ageing and water loss. Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) addresses both these factors and enables significant product specific shelf life extension. Modified atmosphere (MA) conditions are created inside the packages either by the commodity itself and/or by active modification.

Abstract

The world steel production showed a modest rise in 1987 i.e. 734.7 MT/yr. from 715.4 MT/yr. in 1986. While the 'US' and 'Japanese' productions came down, there was rise of production by 0.5% in 1987 in the twelve countries of the EEC. The Soviet and the East European countries showed a moderate growth rate of 0.8% in 1987.
